Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver therapy interventions and treatments as outlined in the physical therapist's plan of care, helping patients restore mobility and improve function
• Document patient progress, responses to treatment, and any changes in condition accurately and timely
• Educate patients and their families on home exercise programs and strategies to promote independence and prevent re-injury
• Maintain open communication with the supervising physical therapist regarding patient status, progress, and any concerns
• Adhere to all safety, infection control, and compliance standards to ensure a safe healthcare environment

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
• Active state PTA license (or ability to obtain one before start)
• A collaborative spirit with the ability to follow treatment plans and work effectively within an interdisciplinary team

Education

• Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program

Knowledge & Skills

• Patient care and mobility assistance techniques
• Therapeutic exercise and treatment plan implementation
• Clear communication with patients, families, and team members
• Documentation skills and attention to detail
• Interdisciplinary collaboration and patient education
• Knowledge of safety and infection control protocols
