With increasing experience, the role operates with greater independence, sound judgment, and scientific depth, contributing more meaningfully to insight interpretation, stakeholder engagement, and cross-functional alignment. Responsibilities Enhancing knowledge / scientific exchange:Engages in Medical-to-Medical scientific discussions including disease awareness, clinical data, and treatment considerations. Communicates scientific information clearly and effectively to healthcare providers, investigators, and KOLs.Develops and demonstrates increasing depth of knowledge and confidence in scientific exchange, including the ability to navigate more complex or nuanced discussions related to clinical data and treatment paradigms. Builds credibility and trust as a scientific resource within the region and adapts communication appropriately across stakeholder types.Insight gathering and sharing: Responsible for gathering, synthesizing, and communicating insights from field engagement. Identifies trends in clinical practice, perceptions of data, and factors that influence treatment decisions.With increasing experience, provides more structured, contextualized, and actionable insights, demonstrating the ability to connect individual observations into meaningful themes. Begins to proactively share insights with internal stakeholders and align with MA&EG partners, including HEOR and PRO functions, to support organizational understanding.Regional ownership / execution:Executes field activities within assigned territory, including planning, prioritization, and engagement. Demonstrates strong organization and time management skills in managing multiple priorities.With increasing experience, operates with greater independence and ownership of the territory, effectively prioritizing high-value engagements and making informed decisions on how to allocate time and resources to maximize impact.Data interpretation:Applies scientific knowledge to understand and communicate clinical data. Develops the ability to interpret study results and discuss findings appropriately with external stakeholders.With experience, developing confidence in independently interpreting clinical data, including the ability to translate findings into relevant clinical context for different audiences.Data generation / R&D support:Supports clinical development activities, including engagement with investigators and clinical sites. Participates in site identification, research discussions, and clinical trial awareness, as appropriate.With increasing experience, contributes more actively to investigator engagement and study-related discussions, demonstrating a clearer understanding of clinical trial processes and site dynamics.Scientific engagement support: Provides scientific support for congresses, advisory boards, and other external engagements. Maintains awareness of scientific literature, emerging research, and competitive landscape.Cross-functional engagement (field-aligned):Collaborates with internal stakeholders within Medical Affairs to support field engagement and insight exchange.With increasing experience, engages more actively with MA&EG partners, including HEOR and PRO, and demonstrates the ability to align field insights with internal priorities and information needs.Broader stakeholder engagement (as applicable):Engages healthcare providers and KOLs within assigned region. Develops awareness of broader stakeholders and factors influencing clinical decision-making.With experience, begins to engage a wider range of stakeholders, including larger practices and organizational influencers, with a growing understanding of practice dynamics and access considerations that influence treatment decisions. Qualifications Strong communication skills and ability to engage in scientific discussionsStrong customer-facing, listening, and relationship-building skillsAbility to learn and communicate complex scientific informationAbility to operate independently with increasing confidence and sound judgmentStrong organization, prioritization, and execution capabilitiesFoundational understanding of clinical trial design and data interpretationAbility to synthesize information and communicate insights effectivelyAdaptability and ability to operate in a dynamic, fast-paced environmentMust be able to travel approximately 70%, including some weekendsEducation/Experience:MD, NP, PA, PharmD, or PhD in a life science requiredSpecialization in Dermatology, Immunology, or Allergy preferredPrior experience in Medical Affairs, clinical research, or related field preferredExperience level will determine leveling within the role:MSL: 0–3+ years of MSL or related experience; builds foundational capabilities and therapeutic area expertiseCompensationThe expected base salary range for this position is $133,579-$213,380. We are committed to compensating employees equitably based on several factors including experience, education, licensure/certifications, skill level, location of the position, and availability of similar talent in a competitive market.Compensation for this role includes base salary, annual discretionary bonus, long term incentive, 401(K) plan with employer contribution, health care and other insurance benefits (for employee and family), paid holidays, vacation, and sick days. We are committed to compensating employees equitably based on several factors including experience, education, licensure/certifications, skill level, location of the position, and availability of similar talent in a competitive market. Compensation for this role includes base salary, annual discretionary bonus, long term incentive, 401(K) plan with employer contribution, health care and other insurance benefits (for employee and family), paid holidays, vacation, and sick days.
