What You’ll Do: Assess scene safety, injury, and illness and respond with appropriate intervention Upon completion of nursing assessment, make appropriate referrals as required Administer proper medication and treatments required Provide appropriate and accurate documentation while maintaining the utmost in confidentiality Monitor and report suspected cases of abuse and neglect Make necessary provisions for students entitled to a 504 Accommodation Plan Regularly work with parents, teachers, guidance counselors and principals relative to particular concerns or issues Provide health education to students and parents as necessary What We’re Looking For: Required: Bachelor of Nursing Minimum 2 years’ nursing experience Must have unencumbered Registered Nurse licensure in the State of New Hampshire Have current BLS certification (adult, child, and infant). Possess the ability to interrelate with the student age population Knowledge of the current laws/regulations regarding suspected neglect and abuse. Ability to perform nursing assessments with appropriate interventions. Preferred: Minimum of 3 years’ experience in pediatric nursing or other related nursing areas Basic first aid training and certification in School Nursing Experience assisting children with various health challenges (e.g. asthma, diabetes).
