Inside Sales Account Representative

As an Inside Sales Account Representative, you will be responsible for retaining, upselling, and reducing lost business percentages year‑over‑year with existing accounts assigned, often within a specific territory. Responsibilities of Position Oversee account management of existing lower revenue producing commercial customer accounts with a focus on customer satisfaction and quality of revenue Retain and develop long‑term business relationships with existing customers through proactive and prompt resolution of customer concerns, and timely service agreement updates Conduct phone calls and electronic communications to existing customers to foster relationships Develop and provide a thorough knowledge of Rumpke's available services, lines of business, and pricing structure, while offering additional services to existing customers to increase revenue Respond to service cancellation requests with priority and follow‑up in an attempt to save the business where possible Utilize the Company's CRM daily, scheduling and documenting activities, and developing customer profiles Maintain canceled customer list (prospects), flipping to Outside Sales Representatives for future sales Complete required Customer Service Agreements, reports, and other paperwork in a timely manner and in accordance with Company policy Regularly meet with management to review weekly sales activities and status of customers Perform other duties as assigned Supervisory Responsibility This position will not manage employees Skills & Abilities Needed for Position Excellent verbal and written communication skills Must be organized and detail‑oriented with the ability to multitask in a fast‑paced environment Proven analytical/problem‑solving skills for the customer and the company Proficient in Windows and Microsoft applications Excellent customer service and data entry skills Must work efficiently and effectively, both independently and as a team Ability to meet deadlines and complete assignments within stated time frames Ability to always present and maintain a professional appearance and demeanor Experience & Knowledge Needed for Position Previous experience in Inside Sales, Sales Support, Administrative Assistance, or similar experience is preferred Physical Requirements in a Regular Workday Rarely lifting/carrying a maximum of 50 lbs Occasionally working in areas of dust, odors, mist, gases, and other airborne matter Continuously sitting in an office environment Rarely standing/walking Additional Working Conditions/Aspects Ability to travel between offices, as required Ability to work flexible hours; expected to work nights and weekends as needed Ability to work overtime, weekends, and/or holidays Legally eligible to work in the United States Valid driver's license (if applicable) Must successfully complete pre‑employment testing Must be able to read and speak the English language Education High School (required) General Education Diploma (preferred) Associate's of Relevant field (preferred) Bachelor's of Relevant field (preferred) Rumpke Waste and Recycling is committed to equality in all aspects of employment.
