Overview Pride Health is hiring a Medical Assistant to support our client’s medical facility in Poughkeepsie, NY 12601. This is a 3-month assignment (Possibility of extension or conversion) opportunity and a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization! Job Details Location: Poughkeepsie, NY & Fishkill, NY Duration: 3 months Contract (Possibilities of extension) Pay rate: $20 to 23/hr. On W2 (Pay Rate is based on experience/educational qualifications) Schedule: 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM (40 hrs/wk.) Mon & Thu - Poughkeepsie, NY 12601 Tue, Wed & Fri - Fishkill, NY 12524 Job Responsibilities Room patients and prepare exam rooms for provider evaluation. Obtain and document vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, respirations, height, and weight. Enter and manage clinical tasks within the electronic health record (EHR) system. Answer and triage incoming phone calls, routing messages appropriately to providers or clinical staff. Process incoming and outgoing faxes, ensuring accurate documentation and timely distribution. Submit and process medication refill requests per provider protocols and office guidelines. Schedule and reschedule patient appointments and procedures, verifying provider availability and patient preferences. Confirm upcoming appointments and provide patients with preparation instructions when applicable. Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in compliance with organizational policies. Qualifications High School, GED, or equivalent. Current Medical Assistant Certification.
