Travel ICU RN | Level II Trauma | Night Shift | 13-Week Contract | Arizona

Contract: 13 Weeks
Shift: 12-Hour Nights | 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM
Guaranteed Hours: 36 Hours/Week

ICU Highlights

• Patient ratios:
  • 1:1–1:2 for critical patients
  • Up to 1:3 for stable Med/Surg ICU patients without vents or drips

• Centralized telemetry monitoring

• Open heart/cardiac patients
• Balloon pump
• Impella
• tPA administration
• TPE
• Sepsis
• DKA
• CHF
• Respiratory failure
• Ventilated and sedated patients
• Pressor support
• Post-cardiac interventions

Required ICU Skills

Travelers must be proficient with:

• Ventilator management
• Sedation management
• Sepsis protocols
• Vasopressors
• Critical cardiac care
• Complex ICU drips

Common Drips & Therapies

• Vasopressors: Epinephrine, Levophed, Phenylephrine, Vasopressin
• Inotropes: Dopamine, Dobutamine, Primacor
• Antiarrhythmics: Amiodarone, Cardizem, Esmolol, Lidocaine
• Antihypertensives: Clevidipine, Labetalol, Cardene, Nipride, Nitro
• Sedation: Ketamine, Precedex, Propofol, Versed
• Paralytics: Vecuronium, Nimbex, Rocuronium
• Analgesics: Fentanyl, Morphine
• Anticoagulants: tPA, Heparin, Argatroban, Integrilin, Aggrastat
• Insulin infusions

Requirements

• Active RN license
• BLS
• ACLS
• NIHSS
• Recent Level I or Level II Trauma hospital experience required
• Recent Epic proficiency required
• Strong ICU background required
• Must be comfortable titrating critical care drips

Schedule Details

• Self-scheduling available
• Up to 4 requested days off per 4-week schedule period
• Block scheduling requests not guaranteed
• Weekend requirement: 4 weekend shift days per 4 weeks
• Holiday requirement: 2 major holidays
• No standby/call requirement
