Senior Platform Engineer - Fixed Income and Equity

Role Overview Evaluate, design and implement technology solutions to advance technology strategies within Fixed Income and Equity Capital Markets. The incumbent will act as the application owner for third‑party, purchased software, working with vendors to understand changes, assess impacts, and align solutions with the technology roadmap. Responsibilities Liaison with software vendors for systems utilized by the line of business. Stay abreast of impending vendor changes and enhancements and assess their impact on the business. Assist the line of business (or a more senior Platform Engineer) in designing solutions that incorporate software changes and collaborate with business partners to ensure effective implementation. Understand the business technology roadmap and recommend continued use or elimination of current third‑party software solutions. In an agile setting, work closely with the product owner to ensure that user stories have sufficient specificity and clarity for development. Implement and maintain new features and capabilities while continuously improving the quality of technical products and services. Follow industry and organizational best practices, participate in communities of practice, and communicate improvements. Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence by automating processes and creating maintainable, supportable, and testable solutions. Keep up with technology trends and innovations in the relevant practice areas. Provide operational support and troubleshooting for team products and services. Coaching, mentoring, and training new or less experienced team members. Supervisory Responsibilities None. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in a relevant technology field or an equivalent combination of education and work experience. Four or more years of engineering or IT work experience relevant to the position. Strong problem‑solving and communication skills. Willingness to work in a highly collaborative environment. Solid understanding and significant experience with modern software development practices, tools, and/or hardware technologies. Understanding of IT security best practices. Expertise in one or more technical and/or functional domains relevant to the position. Technical skills as required for the specific position. Compensation & Benefits Base salary is reflective of the salary range for this pay grade across the U.S. Individual salaries will vary based on role, skill set, experience, education and geographic location. The role may also be eligible for an incentive compensation plan based on performance.
