Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse (Labor & Delivery) – Austin, Texas

Start Date: September 28, 2026
Location: Austin, Texas
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: 13-week seasonal contract, 12-hour shifts (7:00 AM - 7:00 PM), rotating weekends, no call requirements

Highlights:

• 32-bed Level IV Labor & Delivery unit with high-volume, diverse case mix including spontaneous vaginal deliveries, cerclages, cesarean sections, and TOLAC
• Ideal 1:1 or 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratios supporting exceptional patient care
• Work alongside an experienced team of 150 staff members dedicated to maternal and newborn health
• Utilize Meditech EMR and state-of-the-art equipment including Novii, JADA, Fetal Pillow, IUPC, FSE, and advanced fetal monitoring technology
• Opportunity for extension or permanent placement following successful completion of contract
• Collaborative environment with dedicated charge nurse and co-charge nurse leadership on every shift

Requirements:

• Active RN license in Texas or compact state eligibility
• Minimum 2+ years of acute care Labor & Delivery nursing experience
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications required
• STABLE certification required
• Intermediate fetal monitoring competency
• Demonstrated proficiency in electronic fetal monitoring (EFM), sterile vaginal exams (SVE), and cesarean section circulation
• Internal monitor placement competency preferred
• Previous experience in a high-volume Level IV unit strongly preferred
