Charge OR RN - Days
This is a 13-week contract position.
Day shift, 4x10 hours (06:45 - 17:15). On-call required, with rotations including weekends.
We are seeking an experienced Charge OR RN with strong proficiency in circulating and scrubbing roles. The ideal candidate will have robust experience managing daily operations in a charge nurse capacity, particularly in a Trauma-2 environment. Candidates must communicate effectively with the anesthesia team, surgeons, nursing teams, and leadership while managing the priority of cases, including trauma and emergent situations.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily operations of the operating room.
- Ensure effective communication within the surgical team.
- Prioritize surgical cases based on acuity and urgency.
- Assist in various surgical specialties, ensuring quality care and compliance.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a circulating/scrubbing RN role.
- At least 2 years in a charge nurse capacity managing Trauma-2 operations.
- Current RN license in Maryland or Compact state.
- BLS certification required; CNOR preferred.
- Strong General OR and Robotics experience is essential.
