Job Description
Registered Nurse (RN) - Med/Surg

Shift Information

Evening/Night shifts
Three 12-hour shifts per week

Requirements

Must possess an active Washington State or Compact RN Licensure
Current BLS and ACLS certifications are required
Adherence to organizational policies and unit standards is essential
Knowledge of and compliance with the Washington Nurse Practice Act and unit-specific standards of practice

Responsibilities

Coordinate and deliver high-quality patient care with compassion, utilizing the nursing process and standards of practice specific to the unit
Develop, implement, and continuously reassess individualized patient care plans
Provide nursing care, including medication administration and nursing procedures/treatments
Evaluate the discharge plan's appropriateness while addressing educational needs and necessary adjustments
Document care delivered, assessments, plans of care, interventions, and patient responses accurately
Collect necessary patient information to ensure safe, high-quality care
Conduct holistic ongoing assessments of patient status and respond effectively
Determine and execute appropriate nursing actions to meet the physical, psychological, social, and rehabilitative needs of patients
Educate patients, families, and significant others with relevant health information and provide written materials as needed
Maintain current knowledge of workflows, processes, and evidence-based practices
Delegate tasks appropriately and supervise care provided by non-licensed assistive personnel
Engage in performance evaluation and improvement activities with clinical leadership
Communicate and collaborate with all healthcare team members effectively
Ensure a clean and safe environment for patients and staff in accordance with policies

Additional Responsibilities

May be required to float between various departments as needed
