We delight our patients, communities and fellow team members through consistent delivery of our core values and transform our roles from jobs into callings.Outstanding opportunity to join a healthcare company in developing a national network of WellStreet Urgent Care facilities.The Pediatric Advanced Practice Provider (APP) delivers high-quality, age-appropriate medical care to patients ages 0–26 in an urgent care setting, with a primary emphasis on the pediatric and adolescent population. While the majority of this provider's panel will be pediatric, the role is expected to evaluate and treat the full 0–26 age range, including work-related injuries and occupational medicine visits that fall within that range, in cooperation with center physicians.This provider serves as a clinical resource for pediatric care within the center, helping to elevate the patient and family experience for younger patients and their caregivers while maintaining the throughput, documentation, and service standards expected across all WellStreet centers.ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIESPlans, evaluates, and implements high quality medical care with appropriate resource management to patients ages 0-26 in cooperation with center physicians with primary emphasis on the pediatric and adolescent population.Adheres to the service and courtesy standard of WellStreet Urgent Care by delivering the highest standard of patient satisfaction at all times.Performs procedures within scope, including suturing, incision and drainage of abscesses, splinting, and foreign body removal, with attention to age-appropriate technique and comfort measures for pediatric patients.Provides patient care within the respective clinical area which complies with the Professional Staff Bylaws, rules and regulations and WellStreet Urgent Care policies and proceduresProvides and/or serves as a resource for patient/family and staff educationProvides an authenticated report of all services rendered and maintains accurate and complete records in an acceptable mannerCompletes necessary documentation and ensures communication to facilitate patient care and appropriate reimbursementParticipates in meetings/activities as required to support operations of the urgent care centerParticipates in activities that enhance professional development, complete and maintain certification in BLS, PALS, or NALS and maintains any additional specialty training/certifications as required by the area assignedPerforms other responsibilities as requiredEDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONSPediatric Nurse Practitioner (P-NP) or Advanced Practice Provider (NP/PA) with 5+ years of pediatric clinical experience requiredActive medical license in state of practice or ability to obtain.Current DEA registrationExperience with procedures including suturing and drainage of abscessesExperience with reading diagnostic studies including X-rays and EKGsBLS and PALS certification requiredMeets eligibility requirements for credentialing set forth by WellStreet Urgent CareDemonstrated ability to communicate effectively with patients, families and other team membersRequired to travel to other WellStreet Urgent Care centers as needed to support business needsWellStreet Urgent Care is committed to providing the highest quality patient and customer care.
