RN Telemetry Travel Position Job Title: RN Profession: Nursing Specialty: Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 1 year License: Current RN License (Meets the criteria to be eligible for licensure in state) Certifications: BLS from AHA only, NIHSS (mustobtain prior to start) Must-Have Skills/Experience: 1 year Telemetry experience, inpatient only. Experience and competence in drug titration. Description: Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care. Performs direct patient care activities for all age groups, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Monitors and coordinates patient care activities with ancillary departments to optimize patient care and comfort. Functions within the scope of nursing preparation and consistent with established guidelines of nursing practice. Maintains professional accountability for the provision of patient care. Evaluates the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers. Coordinates patient care in conjunction with other departments. Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of patient information. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and service standards. Stands and walks most of the time on duty. Meets unit-specific physical demands. Engages in a significant amount of bending and stooping, as well as lifting and turning patients with assistance. May be required to work differing schedules, shifts, and days of the week according to patient care requirements. High risk exposure to blood and body fluids. Physical demands include pushing, pulling, and gripping up to 50 lbs., pinching up to 15 lbs., kneeling, crouching, and crawling minimally. Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care for patients with trauma, surgical interventions, and medical comorbidities.
