Breast Radiologist

Breast Imaging Radiologist Opportunity

CVP is seeking Breast Imaging Radiologists to join our team in providing high-quality onsite radiological services at the Atlanta VA Medical Center located at 1670 Clairmont Road Decatur, GA 30030.

Working hours are Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM.

Responsibilities

• Provide onsite breast imaging radiology services to VA patients
• Interpret and report on Mammography, Breast Ultrasound, Breast MRI
• Perform and/or guide diagnostic breast imaging procedures
• Identify, evaluate, and diagnose breast abnormalities, including malignancies
• Review imaging orders and next-day cases as needed (minimum 2 hours daily)
• Provide clinical consultation to referring providers regarding imaging results and care plans
• Communicate test results to patients and providers per VHA Directive 1088
• Participate in post-procedure follow-up and complication management
• Document all care in the VA Electronic Health Record (EHR) in compliance with VA policy
• Participate in Quality Improvement (QI) and Quality Assurance (QA) activities
• Attend required meetings with quality improvement, service leadership and staff
• Complete peer reviews (approximately 4 hours per month)
• Maintain patient safety and infection control standards
• Follow all VA policies and procedures regarding patient care, documentation, and confidentiality

Qualifications

• Must be eligible to obtain a Public Trust government security clearance; US Citizenship is required
• Active, full, and unrestricted medical license in any U.S. state or territory
• Board Certified in Radiology by the American Board of Radiology (ABR)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
• Active DEA license
• NPI report printout
• Experience with diagnostic and interventional radiology procedures
• Proficient in the use of electronic medical records systems
• Physically capable of standing for long periods of extended time, lifting and/or transferring up to 50 lbs

Location: Atlanta VA Medical Center located at 1670 Clairmont Road Decatur, GA 30030.

Shift: Working hours are Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM.
