Registered Nurse - ICU Float

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse for a dynamic ICU Float position specializing in Stroke/Neuro, Cardiac (Cath Lab, Open Heart), Trauma, and General diagnoses (DKA, Sepsis). The ideal candidate will have the ability to float between multiple ICUs and telemetry units as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive patient care in the ICU setting, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care plans.
• Perform advanced nursing procedures and manage complex patient diagnoses in collaboration with the healthcare team.
• Monitor and interpret vital signs, dysrhythmias, and hemodynamics; manage patients with multisystem organ dysfunction.
• Administer medications, including cardiac and vasoactive drips, and manage continuous IV sedation.
• Participate in interdisciplinary rounds with teams including Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, and Social Services.
• Ensure adherence to safety protocols, including isolation precautions and proper use of PPE.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Active RN license in the state of practice.
• Minimum of 2 years of ICU nursing experience preferred.
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS required.
• Previous charge experience is preferred.
• Experience with dysrhythmia management and ventilator care is essential.

Schedule

This is a night shift position, working three 12-hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:00.
