Title
Oncology Infusion RN - Outpatient Clinic

Schedule
Shift: 8-hour days, 07:45-17:15
Hours: Up to 40 hours/week
Weekends: No weekends required
Call: None

Assignment Details
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Requirements
- License: NC or Compact license acceptable pending submission
- Certifications:
- ONS Chemo/Bio Card
- BLS/BCLS
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years oncology-specific experience
- Skills: Central line / implanted line care experience; Chemotherapy administration experience
- EMR: Experience with Epic

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult patients receiving chemotherapy in an outpatient setting.
- Monitor patients for side effects and adverse reactions to treatments.
- Educate patients and families on treatment plans, potential side effects, and care procedures.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure coordinated care delivery.
- Administer medications and manage infusion therapy as per protocols.
- Document patient care and responses accurately in the electronic health record.

Compliance / Notes
- Orientation: 8 hours; hospital orientation during the first week; must be available for daily classes
- Drug testing/background: Candidate must complete testing within 48 hours after signing
- RTO policies: Initial RTO after booking is not allowed; auto-approve up to 7 days of RTO (not during holidays); must work 2 of 3 major holidays; no RTO during the first week
- Scrubs: Navy blue scrubs required; not provided
- Infection control: Pre-shift COVID screening required. COVID vaccine not required; flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions only).
