Description: Orientation is bi-weekly. Facility has 154 beds. Services offered include orthopedics, spine services, cardiology, general surgery, women's care, and behavioral health. A chest pain center is available. The facility is accredited by the Joint Commission. The unit has 12 beds. Patient ratios are 2:1. Occasionally, RNs will float to the PCU. Common diagnoses include sepsis, COPD exacerbation, hypotension urgency, and hypertension urgency. Required education is an Associate's degree. Scrub color is navy. No excessive piercings or unconventional hair colors are allowed.
