Family atmosphere Job Details Job Details: We are currently seeking an experienced Permanent Estimator to join our dynamic team in the Construction industry. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Shell construction - Concrete, Walls, Structure - Project Estimation, Construction Estimating, and Project Bidding. This role requires a strategic thinker with a strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. The Permanent Estimator will play a key role in the planning and implementation of our construction projects, ensuring that all cost, time, and quality parameters are met. This is a full-time position, offering a competitive salary and benefits package, and requires 5+ years of relevant experience. Responsibilities: 1. Develop comprehensive, detailed project cost estimates and proposals for construction projects, taking into consideration project specifications, scope, and drawings.
2. Evaluate and analyze project plans and specifications to determine the overall estimated cost of a project.
3. Participate in the bidding process, including preparing bid documents and attending pre-bid meetings.
4. Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and architects to gather details and compile data to estimate all production costs.
5. Evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotes to ensure they meet project specifications and budget.
6. Maintain accurate and up-to-date cost databases and estimating software.
7. Provide consultation on planning, scheduling, and cost control procedures.
8. Conduct risk analysis to identify and mitigate potential challenges.
9. Maintain a comprehensive understanding of the impact of field changes and price changes to provide accurate project estimates. Qualifications: 1. Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
2. Minimum of 5 years' experience in construction estimating, specifically with Shell, Concrete, Walls, Structure, Project Estimation, and Project Bidding.
3. Strong understanding of construction processes, materials, and legal requirements.
4. Proficient with estimating software and spreadsheet software.
5. Excellent analytical and mathematical skills.
6. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
7. Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings and technical specifications.
8. Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
9. Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills.
10. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
