Structural Engineer

This is a project‑level role. We're looking for an engineer who can independently oversee and manage projects — owning the design, coordinating with clients and architects, carrying a project through construction administration, and helping mentor our junior staff. You'll have real ownership of your work, you'll work directly with the people who own this firm, and you'll have a clear path toward growing client and leadership responsibility over time. What you’ll do Own and manage projects from design through construction administration Perform structural analysis and design in steel, concrete, masonry, and wood Produce construction documents in Revit and coordinate with architectural and MEP partners Serve as a point of contact for clients and architects on your projects Mentor and support junior engineers What we’re looking for An engineer who can independently manage projects, own client relationships, and mentor junior staff Bachelor's degree in Civil or Architectural Engineering with a structural emphasis from an ABET‑accredited program; Master's a plus 5–10 years of demonstrated experience designing building structures in steel, concrete, masonry, and wood Construction administration experience required Proficiency with structural design and analysis software we use daily — RISA, Enercalc, Forte, and similar — plus Bluebeam and Microsoft Office Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills Strong attention to detail and organizational skills A flexible working style to meet deadlines and client needs Some intermittent travel required Work location and eligibility This position is in person at our Overland Park, KS office.
