MRI Technologist - Per Diem

Role Overview: MRI Technologists utilize radiofrequencies within a magnetic field to perform diagnostic, therapeutic, or research imaging procedures. They prepare, administer, and document activities related to medications, ensuring patient safety and compliance with regulations. They independently conduct MRI scans, evaluate image quality, and assist with interventional procedures while adhering to safety principles such as ALARA. Key Responsibilities Obtain correct orders, properly identify and prepare patients, and document clinical history confidentiality. Utilize appropriate imaging protocols, optimize technical settings, and ensure patient safety. Evaluate images for quality and proper positioning; verify data transfer and storage. Educate and monitor students and healthcare providers. Apply magnetic resonance safety principles to minimize risks. Assist licensed practitioners with MRI procedures and interventions. Select pulse sequences based on protocols and data acquisition needs. Participate in quality and process improvement activities. Qualifications: Certified by ARRT (R or MR), ARMRIT, or NMTCB upon hire. Education includes graduation from a Radiologic Technology program; a Bachelor's degree is preferred. #J-18808-Ljbffr
