Responsibilities Identify and establish relationships with new and existing shippers and carriers. Negotiate freight rates and contracts to maximize profitability. Coordinate and track shipments to ensure timely delivery and customer satisfaction. Maintain detailed records of shipments, contracts, and communications. Resolve any issues or delays in freight transportation promptly. Develop and implement strategies to expand your freight brokerage business. Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local transportation regulations. Requirements Proven experience as a freight broker or independent freight agent. Strong knowledge of transportation and logistics industry standards and regulations. Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and manage your own client portfolio effectively. Familiarity with freight management software and online load boards. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Valid freight broker license or relevant certifications are preferred.
