Provides critical nursing care in the Emergency Department, managing acute patient needs in a fast-paced environment. Responsible for delivering high-quality, evidence-based care to diverse patient populations. Responsibilities:
- Assess patient conditions promptly upon arrival, prioritizing based on acuity.
- Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders and established protocols.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Monitor patient status continuously, documenting findings accurately in the electronic medical record (Meditech).
- Respond to emergency situations quickly, utilizing advanced skills such as intubations and splinting.
- Educate patients and families about care plans, procedures, and post-discharge instructions.
- Hold a valid RN license and meet state licensing requirements.
- Possess at least 1 year of recent emergency department experience.
- Have current BLS, ACLS, ENPC, TNCC, and NIHSS certifications.
- Demonstrate strong critical thinking, communication, and teamwork skills.
- Be able to work efficiently in a high-pressure environment with a flexible approach.
- Ability to wear designated navy blue scrubs and adhere to dress code policies.
