Job Description Job Title: Executive Communications Specialist 3 / Leadership Communications Specialist Immediate W2 contract position available in Atlanta, GA. Estimated Duration: 12 months Job Description / Desired Qualifications An Executive Communications Specialist with 5 to 10 years experience is responsible for having experience writing for and working directly with CEOs, SVPs or other senior executives. Excellent verbal and written communication skills; video, graphics or other multimedia expertise a plus. Track record of strong project management skills, including experience building and executing net new programs and managing them to scale. Experience working on large events and projects that require cross-functional collaboration. Ability to think, plan, and execute on multiple projects simultaneously in an organized fashion. Effective team player who can meet project deadlines with exceptional attention to detail and lead efforts across disciplines. Able to work successfully and collaboratively in a matrixed organizational structure. Bachelor’s degree and experience in communications, including internal and executive communications. The Leadership Communications Specialist serves as a strategic partner supporting senior leaders through well-researched insights, high-quality briefing materials, and seamless event execution. This role is responsible for gathering and synthesizing information from internal subject matter experts, external partners and event coordinators to ensure senior leaders deliver consistently and powerfully across every platform and audience. This role requires strong project management skills, the ability to coordinate across multiple stakeholders, and a proactive approach to sourcing the most current data and insights to prepare leaders for key engagements. Requirements 5–8 years of experience in corporate communications, executive communications, research, or related field Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, marketing, public relations, or related discipline Strong experience developing executive briefings and synthesizing complex information into clear insights Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced, high-visibility environment Experience working with external vendors and coordinating deliverablesExcellent written and verbal communication skills Strong collaboration skills and ability to build relationships with internal stakeholders and SMEs Experience in the utility or energy industry is a plus Additional Notes Bring 10+ years of communications experience supporting C-suite or senior executives, with proven excellence in writing, storytelling, and strategic execution. Develop clear, compelling executive communications—including speeches, video scripts, presentations, and social media content—that reflect the CEO’s voice and strategic priorities. Research, analyze, and synthesize complex information into concise talking points and briefing materials for internal and external engagements. Lead and manage multiple high-profile projects with precision, discretion, and strong organizational and stakeholder management skills.
