Full Time Stager/Driver (Manheim)

Job Overview Company: Cox Automotive – USA Job Family: Group Vehicle Operations Position: Driver I – Non‑DOT Management Level Location: Specified Cox location (no remote option) Shift: Day Schedule: Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Monday – 7:30AM to 4:30PM; Sunday – 12:00PM to 6:30PM; Off – Tuesday and Wednesday. Compensation: $17.35 per hour, with potential additional commission or incentive program. Responsibilities Drive vehicles safely through auction lanes on sale day. Transport vehicles to and from designated auction areas and customer dealerships, following auction driving rules and road safety principles. Line up and park vehicles in the correct order; move vehicles as directed by supervisor or team leader; locate and resolve “lost” vehicles. Assist with vehicle operations—inflate tires, jump‑start vehicles, etc.—as needed. Notify supervisor of inoperative vehicles or out‑of‑gas situations; coordinate with service or gas truck driver. Assist customers (dealers, account representatives, rental agencies) and coworkers as required. Demonstrate a safety commitment by following all safety and health procedures and modeling related behaviors. Participate actively in safety activities aligned with Safety Excellence. Perform other duties assigned by management; be available for overtime as business needs dictate. Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent (preferred). Previous auction experience (preferred). Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record. Ability to drive vehicles with both standard and automatic transmissions. Must frequently enter and exit vehicles and sit for prolonged periods. Ability to walk long distances and stand, walk, reach, talk, and hear regularly. Frequently required to stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, squat, and climb. Physical capability to lift 1‑15 pounds. Vision requirements: close, distance, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Work Environment Frequent exposure to outdoor weather conditions and moderate noise level. Drug Testing Pre‑employment drug testing is required. The position does not administer a marijuana test. Cox maintains a drug‑free workplace; possession, use, or influence of illegal drugs during work hours, on company property, or in company vehicles is prohibited. Compensation & Benefits Hourly pay of $17.35. Eligibility for commission and incentive programs may apply.
