Ove r sees m o n i t o r s , an d eva lu a t es a nd as ne cessary, de ve l o p s a nd r evises th e H ea lth Ce n t e r 's clini ca l pro t oco l , proce du res a nd sys t e m s t o ass ur e co m p li a n ce w ith f e d era l l aws, r eg ul a ti o n s , s t a nd a rd s of practice and relevant Bureau Primary Care indicators including OSHA, CLIA, Page Break patient care, employee health , coding and quality assurance program . Oversees , monitors and evaluates and as necessary, revise s the Health Center's continuous quality improv e ment activities and quality assurance program. Prepares and delivers monthly reports to the Quality Committee and Governing Board Supervising physicians and mid-levels: performing quality assurance activities . Participating and directing provider and medical care team meetings Esta bli s hing linkage with pharmacy , dental, and community referral entities while expanding the scope of serv ice s available through community referrals. Inve s tigating best practices and implementing quality improvements initiatives to the care teams Establishes positive relationships with l ocal medical community. Assists with recruiting new providers to the system and then orients, monitors , directs, coaches and evaluates the medical staff. Oversees, in conjunction with administration the credential in g and re-credentialing privileging of clinica l staff. Participate s as part of Health Center ' s leadership team in evaluation of cl ini cal services , budgeting , and feasibi l ity of expansions in health services. Ensuring the implementation of QI/QA operating procedures. Ensuring QI/QA assessments are completed at least quarterly. Monitoring QI/QA outcomes. Updating QI/QA policies and procedures, as needed. Interview s patient s to obtain history , p e rforming physica l examination , ordering lab and other te s t s , pr escr ibin g medication and treatment. Provides continuity in managed care for patients with pre-existing l ong term chronic problems Makes referral s for secondary or tertiary care. P e rform s medical procedure s, according to privile ges is s ued. Documents a ll patient contact accurately on the medical record . Provides health maintenance visits , evaluates for immunizations , and provide s anticipatory guidance and referral s: performing contract and s p ec i a l physica l examinations, perform s STD and patient educati o n. PHYSICAL DEMANDS Lifting , twisting , bending and prolonged sitt in g or standing may be required. The physical movement s and the degree of mobility normally associated with the practice of primary care may be required. Work under stressfu l conditions as well as extended hours may be required. WORK ENVIRONMENT Potential occasional exposure to low dose radiation hazards , hazardous chemicals and body f luid s and waste. Personal protective equipment provided. May be exposed to infectious and contagious diseases. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Current licensure as an MD / DO to practice in th e State of Louisiana Current DEA certification Valid Driver ' s Licen s e Mu st be ab l e to meet and maintain current DCHC credent ialin g and privileging requirements Skill in providing exce ll ent customer service and support: organizing and prioriti z ing workload and meeting dead l ines.
