Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Automotive Technician with a minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience to join our established team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing a wide variety of domestic and import vehicles. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, self-motivated, and committed to maintaining the highest standards of safety and workmanship.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnostics: Utilize advanced diagnostic equipment and scan tools to accurately identify mechanical and electrical malfunctions across all vehicle makes.
• General & Preventative Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks including, but not limited to, oil changes, fluid flushes, brake services, and tune-ups.
• Repairs: Inspect, repair, or replace defective automotive parts (engine components, steering/suspension, HVAC, exhaust, etc.) to meet strict manufacturer specifications.
• Customer Communication: Clearly communicate the root cause of vehicle issues and outline necessary repairs to the Service Advisor or directly to the customer when required.
• Record Keeping: Maintain accurate logs of all inspections, parts used, and repairs completed to support invoicing and vehicle history records.
• Shop Safety: Ensure your work area and all shop equipment are kept clean, operational, and safe at all times.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Experience: 5+ years of proven professional experience as an auto technician, specifically working on both foreign and domestic vehicles.
• Technical Aptitude: Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills with a solid understanding of modern automotive computer and electronic systems.
• Certifications: ASE Certification (e.g., Master Technician, Engine Repair, Brakes, Electrical) is strongly preferred.
• Licensing: Valid driver’s license and a clean, insurable driving record.
• Tooling: Must have your own standard set of professional-grade automotive tools.
• Work Ethic: Deadline-oriented with a proven track record of completing tasks efficiently without taking shortcuts.
