COTA - Travel Contract

We‘re hiring a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant for a travel contract role at a skilled nursing facility in Detroit, MI. Under the guidance of a licensed Occupational Therapist, you will help patients regain the skills they need for everyday life. Minimum Requirements Associate degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited college. Active Michigan COTA license required to start the assignment. BLS certification from AHA or ARC may be required. Experience working in skilled nursing facility (SNF) settings is required. Ability to follow treatment plans and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams. Client requires coverage on Days shift. Candidate must be able to work 5x8 schedule as needed. Preferred: experience with geriatric populations and restorative care practices. Assignment Details Facility type: Skilled Nursing Facility. Shift: Days. Shift hours: 08:30–16:30. Shift pattern: 5x8. Contract length: 13 weeks. Guaranteed hours: 35 hours per week. Location Highlights Detroit offers a mix of urban amenities and nearby outdoor recreation. Eastern Market is a short downtown trip and features open-air markets, food vendors, and cultural events on weekends. For regional escapes, southeastern Michigan has access to state parks and Lake St. Clair shoreline within a 30–60 minute drive, suitable for boating and fishing. The city supports an urban lifestyle with museums like the Detroit Institute of Arts, professional sports venues, and a growing culinary scene.
