Accounts Payable Processor

In this role, you will provide Accounts Payable support by performing tasks such as establishing and updating Account Payable files, routing and auditing invoices, monitoring payments, assisting with vendor inquiries, and reconciling vendor statements. You will help ensure financial accuracy and efficiency by managing timely payments and maintaining detailed records of expenditures. This position is designated as part-time telework per our global telework policy and will require at least three days of in‑person attendance per week at the assigned office or project. Weekly in‑person schedules will be determined by the individual and their supervisor, in consultation with functional or project leadership. Major Responsibilities: Establish Account Payable files upon receipt of commitment document from Project procurement. Log information in the Account Payable system for tracking and route invoice for approval in a timely manner. Audit invoices against commitment documents checking retention requirements, quantities, unit prices including taxes. Perform accounting distributions in the Accounts Payable system. Monitor payments against authorized commitments and advise procurement when additional funds are required to ensure continuity of payments without delay. Liaise with procurement to ensure documents are uploaded in the system to allow payment to vendors within stated terms and conditions. Reconcile vendor statements monthly and follow up on outstanding items and vendor queries. Education and Experience Requirements: Requires 1‑2 years of related experience. Required Knowledge and Skills: Good working knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations and Cost Accounting Standards. Experience in auditing invoices to contractual agreements. Above average oral and written communication skills with a strong attention to detail. Ability to set priorities quickly under pressure and quickly assess situations, customer needs and implement solutions.
