Contract | Rotating Shifts | 3x12 or 4x12 Hours | Day and/or Night Availability Required | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a Level III NICU setting, managing diagnoses including respiratory distress, hypoglycemia, and hyperbilirubinemia in neonates 28 weeks and above
• Work rotating day and/or night shifts with full weekend availability as scheduled
• Float to approved satellite facilities as required; notice is provided prior to shift, and mileage reimbursement from home location is provided for float assignments
• Complete up to 10 hours of non-billable pre-start modules prior to orientation
• Maintain current BLS and NRP certifications throughout the assignment
• Work 2 out of 3 designated holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's, including Eves)

Required Qualifications

• Active California RN license required (pending license accepted with confirmed ETA for posting)
• BLS certification required
• NRP certification required
• Minimum 3 years of NICU Level III or higher experience
• Full weekend availability required; must be schedulable as needed
• Maximum of 6 days of requested time off for the duration of the assignment
• Must live more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with Cerner electronic health record system
• Prior experience in a children's hospital or dedicated pediatric setting
• Familiarity with high-acuity neonatal populations including premature and medically complex infants
