Senior Maintenance Analyst - Steel Tube Line (Open)Greif is launching a new steel tube production line to bring production in-house and better support our IBC business. We need a technical maintenance leader who can help get the line running, solve complex equipment issues, and build the reliability practices that keep it performing.If you have steel tube manufacturing experience and enjoy hands-on troubleshooting, startup work, and improving equipment performance, this is a high-impact opportunity.What You Will Do:You'll support the line through two important phases: Startup and Long-term Reliability.During startup, you will:Support commissioning, installation validation, equipment testing, and startup activitiesTroubleshoot roll forming, HF/ERW welding, sizing, cutoff, mechanical, electrical, and process issuesValidate equipment performance against design expectationsAdjust and optimize equipment settings to improve stability, speed, quality, and throughputHelp resolve early ramp-up issues that impact safety, quality, uptime, scrap, or production outputTrain operators and maintenance technicians on equipment operation, inspection, and troubleshootingHelp establish maintenance routines, inspection standards, and baseline equipment practicesAfter ramp-up, you will:Support preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance activitiesDiagnose equipment failures and implement long-term solutionsImprove uptime, availability, reliability, and OEESupport shutdown planning and maintenance executionAnalyze equipment and process data to identify improvement opportunitiesSupport quality issue resolution, including weld integrity, tube dimensions, surface defects, and process stabilityLead small improvement projects and partner across Maintenance, Operations, Quality, Engineering, and ProductionWhat You Bring:You're technically strong, hands-on, and comfortable working in a startup manufacturing environment.Associate's degree or technical certification in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Maintenance, or a related field preferred; equivalent directly relevant maintenance experience will be considered4+ years of maintenance experience in manufacturingSteel tube manufacturing experience strongly preferredExperience with tube forming systems, HF/ERW welding, sizing, cutoff equipment, and related production processesStrong mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and industrial troubleshooting capabilityAbility to read technical drawings, schematics, and equipment documentationExperience with predictive maintenance, failure analysis, root cause analysis, and corrective actionAbility to guide, train, and mentor technicians and operatorsStrong communication skills with Maintenance, Operations, Engineering, Quality, Production, and Leadership teamsSafety-first mindset with strong attention to quality, detail, and process disciplineWork EnvironmentThis role starts with a heavy focus on commissioning and ramp-up, then transitions into long-term line reliability and performance:Hands-on role on the manufacturing floorFast-paced startup environment during the first several monthsLong-term opportunity to shape maintenance standards and reliability practices for a new lineWhat Success Looks LikeYou help bring the new tube line online safely and effectivelyStartup issues are identified, understood, and resolved quicklyEquipment settings, inspection routines, and maintenance standards are clearly establishedOperators and technicians are trained to troubleshoot and operate the line effectivelyThe line performs consistently against safety, quality, throughput, and reliability goalsYou help reduce downtime, scrap, variability, and repeat equipment failuresWhy Work at GreifWe focus on steady work, strong benefits, and long-term careers.Benefits starting Day OneTuition reimbursement programOpportunity to support a strategic new line tied to our IBC businessStable work in an essential manufacturing businessHigh-impact role with visibility across Maintenance, Operations, Quality, and EngineeringPractical, hands-on work where your technical expertise mattersModern, safety-first workplaceRecognized as a 2026 Gallup Exceptional WorkplaceCompensation Range:The pay range for this position is $90,000.00 - $153,200.00 annually. Typically, a competitive wage for new hires will fall between $100,000.00 to $135,000.00 annually. Offers for this position may vary based on market data and other factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and geographic location.
