Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Post Partum Discipline: RN Start Date: 09/21/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, days Employment Type: Travel Registered Nurse (RN) Job Summary The Registered Nurse is responsible for evaluating patients and assisting physicians with patient care. This role focuses on providing high-quality nursing care, particularly in postpartum settings. Key Responsibilities Plan, implement, and document nursing care based on patient needs. Identify patient requirements and prioritize care through assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation. Develop, implement, and coordinate individualized plans of care for assigned patients through initial and ongoing assessments. Initiate assessments based on patient issues, physician diagnoses, and functional health frameworks. Perform therapeutic nursing interventions and manage patient care effectively. Document care in accordance with standards of care and practice, as well as patient acuity and clinical priorities. Advocate for evidence-based practice standards and support the adoption of innovative care delivery methods. Provide patient-centric care aligned with professional nursing practice models. Complete additional duties and responsibilities as assigned. Required Skills & Experience Minimum of 3 years of experience in mother-baby care. Preferred Skills & Experience Experience exceeding 5 years in a relevant nursing role is preferred. Education Required: Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN). Preferred: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN). Licenses & Certifications Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from AHA. Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification. Current NJ State Professional Registered Nurse license or multi-state compact license. AWHONN-Advanced certification or C-EFM certification is required for certain facilities. Work Schedule Typical work hours include 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM, with a commitment to three 12-hour shifts per week and the requirement to work every other weekend and three out of six holidays.
