Water/Wastewater Project Manager - Boise, Idaho Join Our Team as a Water/Wastewater Project Manager! AE2S is seeking a dynamic and experienced engineer to be our Water/Wastewater Project Manager to provide extreme client service, oversee the planning, design, and execution of critical water and wastewater initiatives. In this role, you’ll collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, engage with clients and stakeholders, and drive innovative engineering solutions that protect public health and the environment. Responsibilities Provide proactive leadership and engineering solutions by developing and implementing business development strategies to drive local growth in partnership with strategic goals. Provide professional services for water/wastewater engineering projects to include planning, study, design, and construction administration on projects related to water/wastewater treatment. Manage performance of assigned project team members including Project Engineers, Junior Engineers, and Technicians. Maintain existing client relationships and develop relationships with prospective or new clients. Identify, evaluate, pursue, and manage project opportunities. Provide quality control and quality assurance on all project work. Maintain budgets and schedules of project assignments. Coordinate, facilitate, and attend internal and external meetings. Basic Requirements Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related field. Registration as a Professional Engineer or ability to obtain within 6 months. Experience in water treatment process design. Strong oral and written communication skills. Ability to travel as required for project, client responsibilities and business development. Ability to work remotely and manage projects, clients, and project team members. Preferred Qualifications Master’s degree in civil engineering or related field. 8+ years water or wastewater consulting experience in Idaho. Prior project management experience. Proven client relationships and an interest in business development. Knowledge of Idaho design standards and permitting. Knowledge of Idaho funding programs. Physical Qualifications Ability to walk up to 3 miles on uneven terrain. Ability to stand or sit for prolonged periods of time. Occasionally climb, stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and twist. Occasionally lift, carry, push, and pull light to moderate amounts of weight. May require lifting and carrying up to 20 pounds, with rare lifting up to 50 pounds. Ability to inspect equipment, structures, or materials to identify the cause of errors or other problems or defects. May be required to wear Personal Protection Equipment (PPE), including flame‑resistant clothing, hard hat, and protective footwear. May require occasional evenings and weekends with overtime expectations varying with workload. May be required to travel to off‑site locations including occasional overnight stays out of town.
