Why This Respiratory Therapist Role Is Different This position provides meaningful schedule flexibility and broad clinical exposure across multiple states. With open experience requirements—including new graduates—and the opportunity to obtain additional licenses in Alabama and Georgia, this role supports both professional development and work‑life balance. Key Highlights Work Arrangement: On‑site; 50% office / 50% field. Hours: 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM Travel Radius: 1–1.5 hours in any direction from the branch. Salary range $30 – $35 per hour. Compensation offered may vary based on job‑related factors such as experience, skills, education and location. On-Call transparency 2 – 5 days per week. What you’ll do Conduct home visits to perform oxygen, CPAP/BiPAP, and ventilation equipment setups and follow‑ups. Educate patients and caregivers on equipment use, cleaning, troubleshooting, and maintenance. Assess patient needs, document care delivered, and elevate concerns appropriately. Respond to hospital discharge requests and support patient needs. Collaborate with physicians, case managers, and internal branch teams. Maintain accurate documentation using iPad/laptop. Set up and operate various types of respiratory care equipment, including, but not limited to, oxygen therapy, nebulization therapy, apnea monitoring, suctioning, PAP, invasive and non‑invasive ventilation. Inspect and test equipment to ensure proper operating condition. Perform clinical assessments and tests such as pulse oximetry, ETCO₂, spirometry and gather vital signs. Perform other duties as required. What we look for Registered Respiratory Therapist with an active TN RT license. Willingness to obtain AL and GA RT licenses. Open to all experience levels, including new graduates. Ability to stand, lift, push and/or pull objects ranging from 10 – 50 lbs. Valid driver’s license. Comfortable using mobile technology, navigation tools, and digital documentation. Education Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program. Certificates, licenses, registrations or professional designations Hold a current RCP license in the state of practice (or states that the location covers) if that state requires an RCP license to allow the practice of respiratory therapy. Hold a current CPR Certification. Hold all applicable licensure in good standing for all states of practice.
