Travel Speech Therapist - Skilled Nursing Facility

American Traveler seeks a CCC-certified Speech-Language Pathologist with LTC/Rehab experience for a 13-week travel assignment in a long-term care setting.

Details:

• Long-term care (LTC) facility setting
• Day shift, 8-hour shifts
• 35 guaranteed weekly hours
• No weekend requirements
• No on-call requirements
• 13-week assignment length

Requirements:

• Active Oklahoma state SLP license required, if applicable
• CCC-certified Speech-Language Pathologist
• Minimum 1 year of SLP experience required
• LTC or Rehab setting experience required
• New graduates considered if Level II clinical experience was completed
• One professional reference required for consideration

Additional Information:

• Screen, evaluate, and treat patients with communication, cognitive, and swallowing disorders
• Utilize standardized assessments and evidence-based practice for clinical interventions
• Adjust treatment plans based on ongoing patient assessment and progress
• Provide consultation and counseling to patients, families, and caregivers
• Communicate regularly with supervisors and interdisciplinary care team regarding patient progress and treatment plans
• Complete comprehensive discharge summaries per regulatory and clinical standards
• Document all required information in the electronic documentation system
• Accurately record treatment minutes per regulatory requirements
• Participate in required meetings including patient care conferences, utilization review, and rehabilitation meetings
• Participate in facility and company training and in-services
• Obtain necessary DME or supplies as needed per clinical practice requirements
• Supervise and support Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) or student SLPs
• Maintain adherence to ASHA and state practice acts, code of conduct, and ethics standards
• Maximum of 7 days RTO may be requested
