Line Cook

The Hotel Northampton is a vibrant Hotel with two restaurants known for our culinary skills. Our team thrives in a fast-paced environment where creativity and collaboration are valued. We are currently seeking a passionate and skilled Line Cook to join our kitchen team. As a Line Cook, you will play a crucial role in our kitchen by preparing high-quality dishes in a timely manner. You will work alongside a team of chefs, ensuring that each plate meets our standards of presentation and taste. The ideal candidate is energetic, detail-oriented, and able to handle the pressures of a busy kitchen while maintaining a positive attitude. Prepare all ingredients and food items according to standard recipes or as instructed by the head chef. Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies and ingredients. Cook and plate dishes to specification, ensuring high quality and consistency. Monitor food quality during preparation and cooking processes. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe kitchen environment, following health and safety regulations. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operation and timely service during peak hours. Assist with inventory management and ordering as needed. Participate in kitchen prep activities, including chopping, cleaning, and marinating. Contribute to menu development and suggest new recipes and improvements. Perform other duties as assigned by the head chef or kitchen manager. Qualifications Proven experience as a line cook or relevant culinary experience. Culinary degree or equivalent training preferred but not required. Knowledge of cooking methods, ingredients, and kitchen equipment. Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team. Attention to detail and a commitment to quality and presentation.
