Job Summary
We are looking for a dependable, patient-focused Dental Assistant to join our team. This role is essential to delivering efficient, high-quality care and a positive patient experience. You will work chairside with the dentist, ensure clinical areas are fully prepared, and help keep daily operations running smoothly.

The right candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and confident in both clinical and patient-facing responsibilities. You take initiative, communicate clearly, and contribute to a team environment that prioritizes excellent care and professionalism.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients warmly and escort them to treatment rooms

• Prepare patients for treatment and ensure their comfort throughout the visit

• Review procedures and post-op instructions, answering patient questions clearly

• Take and update medical histories and vital signs accurately

• Set up, break down, and sterilize treatment rooms and instruments according to protocol

• Provide chairside assistance during exams and procedures

• Maintain strict infection control and OSHA compliance standards

• Take dental radiographs (as permitted)

• Support front office tasks, including scheduling and charting, as needed

Qualifications

• Associates degree from a CODA-accredited dental assisting program (or equivalent experience where applicable)

• Current Mississippi Radiology Permit

• Knowledge of dental procedures, instruments, and infection control standards

• Strong computer skills and familiarity with dental practice management software

• Excellent communication, organization, and multitasking abilities

• Professional, team-oriented attitude with a strong focus on patient care
