PM Shift: 6:30 PM to 3:00 AM | Every Other Weekend: 10:30 AM to 7:00 PM

We are seeking a licensed Pharmacy Technician for a contract-to-hire opportunity. In this role, you will support pharmacy operations by accurately preparing prescription medications for pharmacist verification while ensuring compliance with company procedures and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Accurately fill daily medication orders under the supervision of a pharmacist.
• Pick, label, scan, and prepare prescription medications for final verification.
• Process returned medications and assist with recycling/disposal procedures.
• Prepackage frequently ordered medications during lower-volume periods.
• Package medications and materials manually as needed.
• Pull medications from shelving and storage areas, including prepack racks.
• Apply labels to blister cards and scan products for accuracy verification.
• Notify the pharmacist of medications or products that do not scan properly.
• Maintain a clean and organized workstation and replenish necessary supplies.
• Follow all applicable regulations, including HIPAA requirements.
• Comply with departmental safety, attendance, and dress code policies.
• Work overtime, weekends, and holidays as business needs require.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Must possess and maintain an active, clear Illinois Pharmacy Technician License issued by the Illinois Board of Pharmacy.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous pharmacy technician experience.
