COMPENSATION

Full-Time

Non-Exempt

$21.96-$31.84/hourly

*This figure shown represents the minimum and maximum of the range for this role. Individual offers are made dependent upon a candidate’s experience, education and skill level.

Requirements

EXPERTISE YOU NEED

Education & Experience

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); Minimum One year lending experience required; Two-years related lending, financial institution, cash handling, and customer service experience preferred.

Demonstrated ability to identify member needs, build relationships, and recommend appropriate products and services. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE FINANCIAL SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE

Member Experience

• Deliver an exceptional member experience by actively engaging with every member, owning the full end-to-end journey, and providing prompt, professional support.
• Drive branch performance by owning and actively managing a personal production pipeline through consistent outbound calling, disciplined lead follow-up, and relationship deepening activities to meet and exceed deposit, loan, membership, and all referral growth goals.
• Consistently achieve target goals in Debt Protection and GAP sales as well as referral goals to our partners in our Mortgage Department and Horizon Retirement and Investment’s (HRI)
• Assist members through the full loan and account opening process, ensuring complete and accurate information while clearly explaining loan and deposit options, insurance products, policies, interest rates, payoffs, and all relevant credit union products and services.

Growth, Sales, & Service

• Demonstrate strong lending judgement including interpreting credit reports, identifying risk indicators, explaining loan decisions, and supporting sound, compliant credit recommendations.
• Research and resolve account discrepancies related to deposits, withdrawals, and loan payments, providing support to frontline employees and members as needed.
• Represents HZCU professionally within the branch and community by maintaining a visible presence, engaging in outreach, and adhering to branding guidelines, social media standards, and approved apparel, all to strengthen brand recognition, generate new opportunities, and contribute to member, branch, and market growth goals.

Technical Skills

• Leverage evolving digital tools and systems to deliver efficient, seamless omnichannel experiences while ensuring accuracy in financial calculations, including discounts, interest, and other key financial transactions.
• Ability to navigate core data system including input, output, and inquiry to member accounts and other account information required in the member service function.

Administrative

• Maintain knowledge of the Business Continuity Plan for your area of responsibility and perform required duties during system interruptions to ensure continuity of branch operations.
• Respond to member requests, problems or complaints or direct them to the appropriate person for specific information and assistance
• May be assigned specialized branch support responsibilities based on business and community needs, including serving as Vault Custodian, Notary Public, or Medallion Signature Guarantee representative, while maintaining required certifications.
