Cross Country Nurses is seeking a travel nurse RN Pediatrics ER - Emergency Room for a travel nursing job in Tacoma, Washington. Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Pediatrics ER - Emergency Room Discipline: RN Start Date: 10/05/2026 Duration: 15 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours Employment Type: Travel Job Summary: Emergency Room Pediatric (ER PEDS) nurse position located in Tacoma, Washington. This role involves providing specialized pediatric emergency care in a dynamic environment. The position offers a rotating schedule with an emphasis on triage, trauma, and mental health treatment in a busy hospital setting. Job Details: Schedule: Rotating shifts with 12 hours per shift, minimum 36 hours per week. Required Qualifications: One and a half (1.5) years of experience in pediatric emergency department (PEDs ED) care, including at least six (6) months of triage and trauma experience; Certifications in Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Basic Life Support (BLS), and Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) or Management of Aggressive Behavior (MOAB). Preferred Qualifications: None specified. Float: Float rotation may be required. Additional Information: The position requires providing pediatric emergency care in a facility with 35 beds, including 21 emergency room beds and 3 fast-track/surgical suite beds. The nurse to patient ratio is 1:3 at standard acuity and 1:6 at lower acuity. Support staff available 24/7. Electronic medical records are managed via Epic.
