Medical Records Technician

Codes diagnosis, operations, and/or procedures from the medical record.

Confirm the final diagnosis and operative procedures as stated by the Physician are valid and complete.

Abstracts all necessary information from the record.

Assists facility staff with documentation requirements.

This position is being announced concurrently under the Excepted Service Examining Plan (ESEP) and Merit Promotion (MP) procedures.
