Every other weekend and holiday coverage as needed. Schedule posted every 6 weeks to meet unit needs. Highlights: \n \n High-volume, high-acuity Labor and Delivery unit with 550 deliveries per month and 31 beds \n Comprehensive maternal care including midwifery clients, private OB patients, and Adult Recovery Services supporting substance recovery \n Four operating rooms supporting all types of deliveries in a fast-paced teaching environment \n Interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and social services \n 91-day travel assignment with 40 hours of paid orientation \n First-time travelers accepted with appropriate experience \n Requirements: \n \n Active Washington state RN license or Compact license \n Minimum 1 year of Labor and Delivery experience required \n High-risk obstetric experience required \n Must be able to function as Baby Nurse during delivery and provide newborn care until transfer to postpartum (required) \n Must be able to circulate for cesarean sections (required) \n Epic electronic charting experience required; electronic fetal monitoring (OBIX) experience required \n BLS and NRP certifications required \n ACLS, AWHONN Advanced, and AWHONN Intermediate certifications preferred \n Experience with newborn assessment, Vitamin K and eye prophylaxis administration, and medication administration including heparin, insulin, and magnesium sulfate \n Willingness to float to Postpartum, Antepartum, and potentially sister facilities for Labor and Delivery coverage \n Two professional references covering 1 year within the last 3 years \n Why Join Us? \n This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Labor and Delivery nurse to work in a high-volume, high-acuity environment where clinical skills are valued and staffing follows AWHONN guidelines.
