Security Officer - Armed Patrol Driver

Job Description

As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Driver in Edinburgh, IN , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an armed patrol officer at a government location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, stay visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and support a professional environment through strong communication and customer service. What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a government location.
Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and local authorities when appropriate.
Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout assigned buildings, grounds, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and report unusual conditions.
Monitor access points and help to verify credentials, authorized entry, and/or restricted area activity in accordance with site protocols and post orders.
Support Allied Universal reporting requirements by completing patrol logs, incident reports, and/or other required documentation related to daily operations and security-related events.

Minimum Requirements:

Possess a concealed carry weapons permit.
Have at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
Be at least 21 years of age.
A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
