Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification and 1+ years Pharmacy Technician experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Pharmacy Technicians are essential in providing exceptional support within a fast-paced mail order pharmacy setting. This role focuses on processing prescription orders accurately, managing insurance verifications, and preparing medications for pharmacist review to ensure timely delivery of care for patients managing chronic conditions at home.

Location:

• Troutville, VA

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM

Duration:

• 13 weeks, with an immediate start date

Responsibilities:

• Interpret prescription sig codes and select appropriate products for refills
• Enter data meticulously, verify insurance coverage, and resolve processing rejections
• Prepare, label, package, and stage medications for pharmacist approval and shipping
• Maintain inventory through cycle counts and handle returns efficiently
• Manage inbound and outbound communications with patients and prescribers professionally
• Adhere strictly to HIPAA, Medicare/Medicaid regulations, and internal protocols

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required
• Minimum 1-2 years of experience as a Pharmacy Technician, preferably within retail or mail order environments
• Active Virginia Pharmacy Technician license and current PTCB certification mandatory
• Strong communication skills with the ability to multitask and manage time effectively
