We serve more than 500 education clients — school districts, SELPAs, county offices of education, private schools, government agencies, and municipalities. Our attorneys include former educators, school board members, and in-house counsel who bring firsthand operational knowledge to every engagement. Base salary range: $150k to $225k Quarterly and annual bonuses up to $50k Medical, dental, vision, life insurance, 401(k) with generous firm match and profit sharing Generous PTO and paid holidays 1,800 annual billable hours — structured to support sustainable, long-term practice Hybrid remote — 3 days in office, 2 days remote Job Details Counsel school districts, community colleges, and public education entities on business and facilities operations Handle transactions involving real estate acquisition, disposition, and leasing Manage public works contracting and construction procurement matters Draft, review, and negotiate vendor, technology, consultant, construction, and interagency agreements Advise on compliance with the California Education Code, Public Contract Code, Government Code, Labor Code, and related federal and state regulations Guide clients through federal and state funding programs including ESSER and eRate, ensuring procurement compliance Assist with disputes related to construction, public contracting, and facilities management Represent clients in administrative proceedings and agency negotiations Collaborate with school administrators, general counsel, business officers, and boards on infrastructure planning and long-term capital projects Looking For: Active California Bar license Minimum 3 years of transactional experience in real estate, public contracting, construction law, or public agency representation Education or public entity client experience strongly preferred — defense-side transactional or litigation attorneys encouraged to apply Jobot is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
