Veterinary Assistant / Veterinary Technician

We are a bustling, full service, multi doctor, AAHA accredited, small animal veterinary clinic located in Magnolia, TX. We are seeking highly motivated, full time and part time technicians/veterinary assistants who are capable of IV catheter placement, intubation, surgical assistance, venipuncture, radiology, and much, much more or have a desire to learn these technical skills. Our technicians & veterinary assistants are utilized to the fullest, and our practice culture is like no other. LVT or CVA status preferred, but not required. 

Job duties include, but are not limited to the following:

• Obtain relevant information in order to maintain proper and complete medical charts.

• Utilize technical skills to the fullest, including blood drawing, catheter placement, dentistry, surgery, pharmacy and nursing care.

• Ensure the safety of pets, clients and associates by utilizing safe restraining techniques, following standard protocols, and maintaining clean, sterile and organized treatment areas, exam rooms and labs.

• Providing client education regarding preventive care, and assisting the Veterinarian in treatment and surgeries.

• Proficiency with Idexx in-house laboratory analyzers

Job Requirements :

• Ability to work with small animals under conditions with loud noises, strong odors, and highly emotional situations.

• Ability to stand, walk, kneel, climb, lift, carry & move up to 40 pounds
