Work Team Leader

POSITION PROFILE The Operations Work Team Leader will serve as a front-line leader within the Seating Value Stream on the 1st Shift, overseeing daily manufacturing operations. The role involves leadership of Manufacturing Associates, Team Leads and Maintenance, ensuring production runs safely, efficiently, and on time. Responsibilities Plan and lead daily activities using the Daily Production Schedule. Assign employees and manage operations to meet daily manufacturing targets. Lead kaizen events, problem solving, and implement solutions. Oversee safety, efficiency, and customer specification compliance. Conduct employee training, evaluations, and recommend hiring, performance improvement, and disciplinary actions. Track work orders to ensure timely shipments. Maintain working relationships with all levels and departments. Champion lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement. Qualifications 4+ years industry experience and a degree desired. 3–5 years manufacturing supervisory experience preferred. Experience in production assembly operations. Technical skills: team building, process improvement, conflict resolution, motivation. Knowledge of manufacturing organization, process controls, safety procedures. Fundamental safety principles in an industrial environment. Strong problem solving skills and facilitation of group meetings. Proficiency with ERP systems (JDE a plus), timekeeping (Ceridian Dayforce a plus), Microsoft Office, SharePoint/Teams. Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement mindset. ISO 14001/9001 knowledge required. Maintain safe work environment and make decisions quickly. Who We Hire?
