Travel Physical Therapist General Job

Overview Physical Therapist – General in King City, CA. Start date: August 24, 2026. This is a travel, temporary assignment for 13 weeks with a guaranteed 40 hours per week and a rotating shift. You’ll work in a short term acute care setting, delivering patient-focused physical therapy services in both in-patient and out-patient contexts, with a workload split roughly 50/50 between the two. Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive PT evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans for adult patients across inpatient and outpatient settings.
• Implement therapeutic interventions to improve mobility, strength, balance, gait, range of motion, and functional independence.
• Document patient progress accurately and timely; adjust plans based on goals and clinical response.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, participate in discharge planning, and provide patient/family education to support ongoing care.
• Manage a caseload with a balanced distribution between inpatients and outpatients; adhere to facility policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

• Active Physical Therapy license in California
• Doctor of Physical Therapy degree (or recognized equivalent) from an accredited program
• Relevant experience in both inpatient and outpatient settings; ability to manage a mixed caseload
• Current CPR/BLS certification (or state-equivalent)
• Ability to work in a rotating schedule with weekend coverage
• Eligible to work in the United States and participate in a travel assignment
• Strong communication and teamwork skills; commitment to evidence-based practice
