Production Worker

Join our dynamic team as a Production Worker where you will play a crucial role in our packaging lines and machinery operations. You will be involved in various production tasks, ensuring the efficient flow of products and maintaining the highest quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Operate packaging lines and machinery, including dip and dressing lines.
• Package lids, bowls, bottles, and finished goods.
• Inspect products and ensure quality control.
• Maintain product flow on lines and check labels for accuracy.
• Assist in unjamming lines and managing product changeovers.
• Monitor packaging and filling lines for efficiency.
• Lift boxes onto pallets and wrap them securely.
• Utilize computers for verifying and printing orders.
• Operate highly automated machinery using EPJS and RF Scanners.

Essential Skills

• 2-3 years of experience in a packaging line.
• 2+ years of manufacturing experience.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Proficiency with computers.
• Experience with inspections and general production tasks.
• Familiarity with food/chemical industry preferred.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with machine operating for 2+ years.
• Strong background in packaging and staging.
• Comfortable with material handling and picking.
• Willingness to wear steel-toed boots.

Work Environment

Work in a normal production floor that is temperature controlled. The facility, housing around 110 employees, operates three shifts. Enjoy cleaner common areas and cafeteria facilities, with the added benefit of purchasing products at discounted rates.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Thornton, IL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
