A Progressive Care Unit nurse (PCU nurse) has a unique job of caring for patients as they transition from the ICU. A progressive care nurse works in a hospital. A PCU nurse specializes in the medical treatment and surgery of patients with needs that are too complicated for a regular hospital floor, but do not require admission to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU).

Cancellation Policy: Provider or facility can cancel assignment with a minimum 2 week notice with no penalty. $1,500 cancelation fee without 2 weeks notice, for both providers and facility. Term with cause - no penalty. Facility can cancel 2 shifts per 13 week contract with no penalty - guaranteed hours only apply at 3rd cancelation. Right to hire with no penalty after 13 week assignment completed. Late Cancellation of Shift by Client Affiliate or HealthTrust: 3.11.1 Cancelled during a shift or upon arriving to the Client Affiliate facility for Per Diem Staff – pay Subcontractor for the greater of the number of hours worked or 4 hours. 3.11.2 Cancelled before 12 p.m. Client Affiliate time business day prior to shift for Per Diem Staff - no charge. 3.11.3 Cancelled after 12 p.m. Client Affiliate time business day prior to shift for Per Diem Staff
