Bilingual Back Office Medical Assistant (Spanish/English)

Location: Lynwood, CA

Pay: $22.00 per hour

Schedule: Full-Time

Job Summary

We are seeking a Bilingual Back Office Medical Assistant (Spanish/English) to join our growing healthcare team in Lynwood, CA. The ideal candidate will have prior back-office medical assisting experience, be fluent in both Spanish and English, and possess pediatric experience or exposure. This role will support providers by delivering high-quality patient care, assisting with clinical procedures, and ensuring efficient patient flow throughout the day.

Responsibilities

• Room patients and obtain vital signs, medical histories, and chief complaints
• Prepare patients for examinations and procedures
• Assist providers with examinations and minor office procedures
• Administer injections, immunizations, and medications as directed
• Perform EKGs, ear lavages, and other clinical duties as needed
• Document patient information accurately in the EMR
• Clean and stock exam rooms and maintain infection control standards
• Handle lab specimens and coordinate diagnostic testing
• Provide patient education and follow-up instructions
• Communicate effectively with patients and families in both Spanish and English
• Support pediatric patients and their caregivers with compassionate, family-centered care

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Medical Assistant certificate preferred
• Fluent in Spanish and English (required)
• Minimum 1 year of back-office Medical Assistant experience preferred
• Pediatric experience or exposure required
• Experience with EMR systems
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced clinical environment
• Current BLS/CPR certification preferred

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Los Angeles, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $22.00/hr.
