Note Applicants must have recent construction industry financial controlling experience , including job costing, WIP schedules, percentage of completion accounting, and project-based revenue recognition. Job Description Lead and own the monthly financial close process. Develop and strengthen internal accounting processes and controls. Manage journal entries, reconciliations, accruals, and financial reporting. Oversee WIP schedules, deferred revenue, and project accounting. Ensure accurate job costing and project profitability reporting. Partner with operations to improve financial visibility across active projects. Lead budgeting, forecasting, and management reporting. Support cash management, billing, collections, and financial analysis. Maintain compliance with accounting standards and internal policies. Support audits and year-end financial reporting. Utilize QuickBooks, Excel, and financial reporting tools to improve efficiency. Serve as a trusted financial advisor to leadership. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. 4+ years of Finance Controller or Financial Controlling experience. 4+ years of construction accounting experience. Strong knowledge of job costing, WIP schedules, percentage of completion accounting, and project revenue recognition. Experience with QuickBooks. Experience with payroll processes including ADP, 401(k), W-2, W-3, and 1099 reporting. Knowledge of state sales tax compliance. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills. Experience supporting financial audits. Strong communication, analytical, and organizational skills.
